Havering's schools failed by Tory cuts

OFTSED rank Havering's schools as worst-performing in London following years of Tory cuts. Angelina Leatherbarrow has pledged to reverse these cuts and work to secure more investment in our children's future.

Tory cuts to our schools have led to OFSTED ranking Havering's schools as the worst-performing in London and the second worst in the country. In contrast, neighbouring Labour-controlled Redbridge has the third best ranked schools in the country. It is clear, Tory cuts harm our children's education, Labour invest in our children's education and future.

The Tories have further proposed cuts of £468 per pupil, which will lose Havering an estimated 432 teachers by 2020!

Angelina Leatherbarrow, Romford's Labour candidate, said: "As a parent with children in local schools, I have seen the impact Tory cuts have had on our children's education. One of my key pledges to Romford is to oppose these deeply regressive cuts. As you MP I will increase funding for schools, cut class sizes and support free school meals for all primary school children."
